City of Sandwich Finance Committee met Jan. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Finance Chairwoman Killey called the meeting to order at 8:09 PM

Roll call was taken:

Present: Aldermen Dell, Killey & Kreinbrink; City Clerk Ii

Also Present: Aldermen Chmielewski, Kelleher, Redden & WSPY Reporter Jim Wyman

Approval of Minutes: Approval for minutes for December 7th & 21st, 2019 was tabled until the next meeting on January 20th. It was noted the agenda listed incorrect dates.

Review of Semi-Monthly Bills: Bills were reviewed to be submitted for payment approval at the Regular Meeting of January 13, 2020. Question was raised about a ComEd charge of $526.18 assigned to 1258 Woodcliff Court in Fairwinds. The address is an unimproved residential lot. Clerk Ii said the charge is for streetlights located in Fairwinds Subdivision but that she would confirm with ComEd.

New Business: Committee discussed briefly on a proposed budget workshop to be scheduled for Saturday, January 18th at 8 AM.

Audience Comments: WSPY reporter, Jim Wyman, questioned invoices for Our Savior’s stormwater in the amount of $1,789.50. Response was the church will be reimbursing the City. He also questioned an NPDES Permit Plan in the amount of $13,477.20. Response was the invoice was part of the EEI (Engineering Enterprises, Inc) contract on the water and sewer study.

Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Committee, motion made by Alderman Dell, and seconded by Alderwoman Killey, to adjourn at 8:38 PM. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
