DeKalb County Executive Committee met July 31.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Roll Call

2. Approval of Agenda

3. Public Comments

Any member of the public may address the Committee for up to 3 minutes on any topic of their choosing. There will be no yielding of time to other members of the public and agenda time for public comments is limited to 30 minutes in total.

4. Executive Session

a. The appointment, compensation and employment of personnel pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).

b. The discussion of litigation that is pending before the courts pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11).

5. Resolutions

a. Resolution R2024-086—A Resolution to Appoint an Interim County Administrator.

The incumbent County Administrator has provided notice of his intention to resign effective August 21, 2024. The Executive Committee is being asked to make a recommendation for an Interim County Administrator to serve during the period between the incumbent’s resignation date and the starting date of the new County Administrator. This recommendation will then be forwarded to the full County Board for approval. The appointment of an Interim County Administrator will be effective as of August 22, 2024 and will end with the starting date of the new County Administrator.
