Diesel gas was sold at the lowest price of $4.89 per gallon at three gas stations in DeKalb County during the week ending Mar. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $5.11 per gallon for diesel gas.
DeKalb County had 32 of 48 reported gas stations offering diesel gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in Illinois was $5.14, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
