Illinois HB2040 passed the state House on April 10.

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Kelly M. Cassidy (D-14) on Feb. 1, will amend the Private Correctional Facility Moratorium Act, according to the General Assembly website.

The measure now must be considered by the Senate.
