State Representative Jeff Keicher, a Republican from Sycamore, has been recognized by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce for his contributions during the 103rd General Assembly. He received two awards: the Bridge Builder Award and the Champion of Free Enterprise Award.

Upon receiving the Bridge Builder Award, Keicher expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment. “I am truly humbled to receive this recognition from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce,” he stated. He emphasized his understanding as a small business owner of what it takes to build successful enterprises and create job opportunities in Illinois. “When our businesses have the opportunity to succeed, it creates more opportunities for our families and communities to prosper,” Keicher added.

The Bridge Builder Award is given to one member from each caucus in both chambers of the Illinois General Assembly. It honors bipartisan leadership that fosters economic growth in Illinois. Lou Sandoval, President and CEO of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, praised Keicher’s approach as a legislator. “Rep. Keicher is truly a remarkable individual who goes above and beyond to understand important issues,” Sandoval remarked.

Keicher also received the Champion of Free Enterprise Award, which recognizes legislators with high voting ratings from the Illinois Chamber over two General Assemblies. The award highlights commitment to legislation that supports entrepreneurial endeavors.

Keith Wheeler, Director of Government Affairs at the Illinois Chamber and former colleague of Keicher in the House, along with Jeanie Mayer, Executive Director at Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce, joined Sandoval in presenting these awards.
