Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and State Representative Jeff Keicher recently hosted the third annual Education Summit. The event brought together educators, administrators, and board members to discuss various issues affecting education in Illinois.
The summit focused on topics such as educator recruitment and retention, funding, and mandates. “This is the third year we have held this event to gather input from stakeholders in the education field,” said Leader McCombie. “We had great discussion on what more can be done at the state level to continue to improve education in Illinois.”
Both representatives expressed gratitude towards local education officials for their participation. “Thank you to all the local education leaders who joined us for our annual education summit,” said Rep. Keicher. He emphasized the importance of understanding local needs to ensure effective state policy outcomes. “The valuable feedback from this summit will help us advocate for policy improvements that empower local school districts to make the best decisions to help our students succeed.”
