Incumbent state Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) recently stumped with fellow Republicans at the Elfstrom stadium in St. Charles.
“Had the honor of addressing a great crowd of engaged voters today with a number of other fine candidates,” Keicher wrote on Facebook. “Thank you Western Townships GOP!”
Keicher was appointed to the District 70 House seat in July after Rep. Robert W. Pritchard retired earlier this year. Keicher is running against Democrat Paul Stoddard and Libertarian John Eldon Mathey in the November general election.

Keicher also posted photos of himself with another group of Republican candidates at a campaign event.
“I can’t say thank you enough to the team of fellow candidates I’m able to work with each week on the campaign trail,” Keicher said. “Wonderful to spend time with engaged voters tonight at the GOP HQ open house, thank you for the kindness.”
District 70 covers the cities of Belvidere, DeKalb, Elgin, Genoa and Sycamore.
