Village of Hinckley Harvesting Our Future Community met Nov. 13.

Meeting called to order: 7:05pm by Joan Umano
Persons Present: Mike Constant, Joan Umano, Steve Kreitzer, Karen Yaggie, Chuck Hemesath, Jennifer Klambauer, Ardith Trumpy, Darci Friedlund, Amie Carey, Carrie Rooney, Matt Bish, Bob Runge, Christy Bark, Marci Villand, Allison Pickert, Ashley Hughes, Debbie Constant, Peggy Smoltich, Nancy Engel.
Persons Absent: Danni Marion, Travis McGuire, Pam Mackey, Shannon Martinez.

New Business:
1. Who and What is Harvesting Our Future:
Presentation by Mike Constant
2. HOF Power Point Presentation:
Each HOF Team narrated their group’s power point projects. Introductions of each Group Members were presented by Joan Umano.
o Downtown Group: murals, stage seasonal decorations in store-fronts, accent the uniqueness of each downtown building with paint.
o Family Support Group: Digital sign, childcare survey, splash pad.
o Small Business Group: Community website (Hinckley Hub), providing resources to the business community & access help from DeKalb County Economic Development Committee.
3. What’s Next for Harvesting Our Future:
Presentation by Mike Constant- Danni Marion, Joan Umano and Mike Constant will work on the application for the 2nd part of the DCCF Grant that is due by Feb 1, 2019.
Once the $10,000 grant is approved, the HOF Team will begin implementing their group’s projects according to the HOF Team’s timeline. In the meantime, each group will meet independently to work on details of their projects.
4. Questions & Sign-Up Session:
Audience/community members were able to visit, ask questions and sign-up to volunteer at the 3 individual Group’s display tables.
