City of Sandwich Finance Committee met April 6.

Chairwoman Killey called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM via WebEx teleconference call due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Roll call was taken:
Present: Aldermen Dell, Killey & Kreinbrink
Also Present: Any public member that was logged into the teleconference call; Mayor Robinson, City Clerk Ii & Alderman Surratt were present in open meeting
Review of Semi-Monthly Bills: Bills were reviewed to be submitted for payment approval at the Regular Meeting of April 13th, 2020. Questions were raised and answered regarding the Foster & Buick invoice, invoice from Glen Bloemker for IT services, and an invoice to Microage for PD cameras. Also questioned was if the invoice for Henrich Landscaping was applied to the correct budget accounting number. Response was Wes Levy / Lauterbach & Amen had assigned the payment from the questionable account number.
New Business: Alderman Redden brought to the Committee’s attention that the street department will need a backhoe replacement via leasing or a purchase. He also said that purchases made by employees for city use should be tax exempt. Mayor Robinson said on reimbursements, it is often difficult for the employee to have the City’s tax-exempt number on their person at the time of purchase.

Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Committee, motion made by Alderman Dell and seconded by Alderman Kreinbrink to adjourn at 7:44 PM. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
