DeKalb County Board of Review met Aug. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

This Public Meeting was held in person with the option of virtual attendance.

Those in attendance: Dan Cribben, John Linderoth, and Brian Rosenow Members; Bridget Nodurft, CCAO; and Alana Rautio, Assessment Office Administration Clerk.

I. Call to order: Meeting called to order at 9:00 am.

II. Roll call: Roll call taken by Dan to reflect all present.

III. Review Agenda for Approval / Amendment: John moved to approve as submitted. Brian second motion. All in favor, motion passed.

IV. Approval of minutes from last meeting: John moved to approve July 14, 2021 minutes. Brian seconds motion. All in favor. Motion passed.

V. Work Load:

a. Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Person Exemptions: After review from Board, John moved to approve a total of 7 to include 0 New HEPD applications and 7 HEPD renewal applications. Brian seconds motion. All in favor, motion passed. See attached list.

b. Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Veteran Exemptions: After review from Board, John moved to approve 2 New SHEDV applications and 8 renewal SHEDV applications. Brian seconds motion. All in favor, motion passed. See attached list.

c. Review to Approve / Deny Senior Exemptions: After review from Board, John moved to approve 20 New Senior applications. Brian seconds motion. All in favor, motion passed. See attached list.

d. Review to Approve / Deny Certificate of Errors: Brian moved to approve CofE’s numbered 509-611, dated 08/11/2021, with 1 VOID. John seconds motion. All in favor, motion passed.

e. Review for Recommendation to IDOR for Non-Homestead Exemptions: DeKalb Community School District Educational institution with a Leasehold stipulation. Brian moved to approve, John seconds motion. Grace of God ministries Trust, property to be used as an ashram, did not provide sufficient information to link to a religious exemption or known affiliated church. Living God Ministry Trust, property to be used as an ashram, did not provide sufficient information to link to a religious exemption.

VI. Other Business:

a. Bridget announced we are on track to publish assessments the first week of October.

b. Bridget presented the 2020 Supervisor of Assessments Annual Report (please see attached)

VII. Adjournment: John moved to adjourn; Brian seconds motion. All in favor, so moved. Meeting adjourned at 10:45 am.
