The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team wraps up its non-conference slate on Wednesday afternoon when it heads to Indianapolis to face the IUPUI Jaguars. Tip-off at The Jungle is at 12 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ as well as locally on WDKB 94-9 FM and the NIU Huskies and Varsity Network apps.

NIU (8-2) looks to get back in the win column after a 62-60 loss to SIUE at the Convocation Center this past Saturday. The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak for the Huskies, their longest streak since a six-game winning streak in the 2016-17 season. Chelby Koker (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) led the Huskies with 18 points and a game-high five steals. In the last four games, Koker is averaging 20.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game.

A'Jah Davis (DeKalb, Ill./Montverde Academy [Fla.]) had her sixth consecutive double-double on Saturday against SIUE. The senior forward had 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Her six double-doubles lead the Mid-American Conference and are the eighth-most in the nation so far this season. Over the last six games Davis has averaged 16.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. She leads the MAC in rebounding at 11.1 boards per game, which puts her 13th in the country. Davis is also fifth in the nation with 4.7 offensive rebounds per game.

NIU has won each of its last five games away from the home floor of the Convocation Center. The Huskies held four of those opponents under 65 points, including allowing a season-low 50 points in a win at Navy on Nov. 26. NIU has allowed 60.4 points per game over those five road wins and 27.4 percent from the three-point line.

IUPUI (4-6) plays its third consecutive MAC opponent on Wednesday. The Jaguars lost at Ball State on Dec. 8 and to Bowling Green 84-70 on Dec. 15. IUPUI shot 54 percent from the field against the Falcons but turned the ball over 21 times leading to 30 Bowling Green points. Senior forward Jazmyn Turner led four Jaguars in double figure scoring with 17 points. Destiny Perkins, IUPUI's leading scorer at 13.1 points per game, added 15. IUPUI leads the all-time series against NIU 4-2, winning the last meeting 85-61 on Nov. 25, 2020 in DeKalb.

The Huskies open conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at Central Michigan.
