DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Board met April 19.

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session at the Legislative Center’s Gathertorium on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 7:50 p.m. President Willis called the meeting to order, and the Secretary called the roll. Those present were District Commissioners Meryl Domina, Laurie Emmer, Vice-President John Frieders, Ben Haier, Rhonda Henke, Savannah Ilenikhena, Kathy Lampkins, Maureen Little, Jim Luebke, Joe Marcinkowski, Stewart Ogilvie, Jerry Osland, Roy Plote, Amber Quitno, Ellingsworth Webb, Tim Bagby, Scott Campbell, Mary Cozad, Rukisha Crawford, Patrick Deutsch, and President Suzanne Willis. Those absent were Terri Mann-Lamb, Michelle Pickett, and Chris Porterfield. There was a quorum established with twenty-one Commissioners present and three absent.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion
Deutsch moved to approve the agenda as presented and Ilenikhena seconded the motion.
Voice Vote
President Willis called for a voice vote to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion
Lampkins moved to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2023 meeting. Crawford seconded the motion.
Voice Vote
President Willis asked for a voice vote on the approval of minutes. All Commissioners present voted aye. Motion carried unanimously.

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS
Resolution FP-R2023-002: A Resolution for the 2023 Great Western Trail Resurfacing Project in the amount of $106,120.00 to Schroeder Asphalt Services, Inc. of Marengo, Illinois Motion
Plote moved that the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners do hereby award Schroeder Asphalt Service Inc. of Marengo, Illinois the 2023 Great West Trail Resurfacing Project in the amount of $106,120.00. Ogilvie seconded the motion.
Roll Call Vote
The President called for a roll call vote on the motion as presented. Those Commissioners voting aye were Domina, Emmer, Frieders, Haier, Henke, Ilenikhena, Lampkins, Little, Luebke, Marcinkowski, Ogilvie, Osland, Plote, Quitno, Webb, Bagby, Campbell, Cozad, Crawford, Deutsch, and President Willis. The motion carried unanimously.
Resolution FP-R2023-003— A Resolution Approving the Payment of Forest Preserve Claims for April 2023. and Off-Cvcie Claims Paid During the Previous Month. Including All Claims for TraveK Meals, and Lodging, in the amount of $ 162,440.97
Motion
Plote moved to approve the payment of claims for this month, and the off-cycle claims paid during the previous month, including all claims for travel, meals, and lodging, in the amount of $162,440.97. Deutsch seconded the motion.
Roll Call Vote
President Willis asked for a roll call vote on the motion to approve and payment of the District's April 2023 Claims. Those Commissioners voting aye were Domina, Emmer, Frieders, Haier, Henke, Ilenikhena, Lampkins, Little, Luebke, Marcinkowski, Ogilvie, Osland, Plote, Quitno, Webb, Bagby, Campbell, Cozad, Crawford, Deutsch, and President Willis. The motion carried unanimously.
Reports of District Officials
Motion
Plote moved to accept and place on file the following Reports of District Officials: 1. Monthly Reports - December 22 & January/February/March 2023
2. Cash & Investments in County Banks - March 2023
Marcinkowski seconded the motion.
Voice Vote
The President requested a voice vote to accept the Reports of District Officials as presented. All Commissioners present voted aye. The motion carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS
Forest Preserve District Superintendent Terry Hannan encouraged Commissioners to look on the County's website to view many of the upcoming volunteer opportunities and events the Forest Preserve District will be hosting for the public in the coming months.
There were no other items of Old Business or New Business.

Bagby moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 p.m. and Emmer seconded the motion. Voice Vote
President Willis called for a voice vote on the adjournment. Motion carried unanimously.
