State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) recently had the privilege of recognizing two outstanding local leaders at the annual Emerging Women Leaders Conference and Recognition Event in Springfield. Pingree Grove Village President Amber Kubiak and DeKalb County History Center Executive Director Michelle Donahoe were both commended for their dedication and service to their communities.

Keicher expressed his appreciation for Kubiak and Donahoe, stating, “It was my honor to recognize Amber and Michelle. In their respective roles, they have both demonstrated a passion for service and leadership in our communities.” He also thanked them for their ongoing commitment to serving the residents in the 70th District.

Amber Kubiak, the Village President of Pingree Grove, was recognized for her leadership in one of the fastest-growing communities in northern Illinois. Meanwhile, Michelle Donahoe was acknowledged for her instrumental role in the establishment of the DeKalb County History Center. Her years of service as the Executive Director of the Sycamore History Museum and involvement in local nonprofit work have been pivotal in preserving and promoting the county's history.

The conference also featured a panel discussion with esteemed women leaders, including Linda Renee Baker, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lisa Holder White, Susan Hayes Gordon, and Kara Demirjian Huss. The event aimed to inspire and empower women leaders from across the state.
