5. Resolutions
a. Resolution R2024-041—A Resolution Authorizing a Five-Year Amendment to the 2003 Dispatch Services Agreement with the City of Sycamore.
In July of 2003, DeKalb County Government entered into Dispatch Services Agreements with the City of Sycamore and the City of Genoa. These agreements consolidated dispatch services across the agencies in order to create a more efficient and cost-effective dispatch system. The Agreements were last renewed in 2020 (Resolution R2020-34).
In 2024, the parties identified additional cost-saving measures, including the merger of police dispatch channels into one channel. Resolutions R2024-041 and Resolution R2024-042 authorize five-year amendments to the agreements with Sycamore and Genoa and extend the agreements.

During National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week, DeKalb County recognizes the significant role the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Telecommunicators play in our citizen’s safety and overall quality of life.
