a. Resolution FP-R2024-008—A Resolution Approving the Acquisition of Property in Kingston Township for the Genoa to Kingston Trail (G2K Trail).
Resolution FP-R2024-008 approves the acquisition of approximately 1 acre of land in Kingston Township from Douglas Adkins to extend the Genoa to Kingston (G2K) trail corridor towards the Village of Kingston. The land acquisition extends the trial corridor section from Carroll Park in Genoa west along the Kishwaukee River through the Genoa Prairie, Russell Woods, the South Branch and the Hoppe Heritage Farmstead to Pleasant Hill Road, then to Hunter Road, and west to into the Village of Kingston. The total cost is approximately $15,000.00 per acre. Final acreage will be determined by a survey of the area.
