DeKalb County Highway Committee met June 6.

4. Public Comments

Any member of the public may address the County Board for up to 3 minutes on any topic of their choosing. There will be no yielding of time to other members of the public and agenda time for public comments is limited to 30 minutes in total.

5. Resolutions

a. Resolution R2024-073— A Resolution entering into a Joint Funding Agreement for Federally Funded Construction on State Letting through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), State of Illinois, for Section 20-01009-01-BR Anderland Road Bridge.

This Resolution is to necessitate an agreement with the State of Illinois for the use of federal LBFP Off-System and TBP Funds for construction and construction engineering for the removal and replacement of structure #019-5004 with a concrete box culvert on Anderland Road, Afton Road District, DeKalb County. Project costs estimated at $473,000.00 with the local Road District cost at $19,000.00.

b. Resolution R2024-074 – A Resolution entering into a Joint Funding Agreement for Federally Funded Construction on State Letting through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), State of Illinois, for Section 20-00272-00-SP Glidden Road Intersection.

This Resolution is to necessitate an agreement with the State of Illinois for the use of HSIP federal funds for construction and construction engineering for the improvement project to address sight distance issues and improve overall safety including pipe replacement, earthwork, pavement, striping and seeding on Glidden Road, south of Baseline Road intersection. Project costs estimated at $729,044.00 with the local share estimated at $72,944.00.

c. Resolution R2024-075 – A Resolution approving Local Agency Intergovernmental Agreements for the provision of joint salt purchasing through DeKalb County. This Resolution is to necessitate Intergovernmental Agreements with local agencies that desire DeKalb County to participate with the State of Illinois through the CMS solicitation for the rock salt joint purchase master contract. This will authorize executing those IGA received to date.
