A. Motion To Approve The Consent Agenda That Includes The Following Items:
1. The Minutes From The September 4, 2024 City Council Meeting
2. The Accounts Payables Dated September 15, 2024
3. Approve An Ordinance Authorizing The City Of Genoa, Dekalb County Illinois To Declare Certain Property As Surplus And Approving The Disposal Or Sale Of Said Property
In the packet is an ordinance to dispose of property which is no longer used. Many of these items are electronics and furniture that have reached the end of their useful life, however, for those items of value, they will be listed on an auction site. Any funds received from the auction will be deposited into the Equipment Replacement Fund.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Approve The Purchase Of Two 2025 Ford Explorer Interceptors Totaling $157,694 From Sutton Ford
This purchase is to replace a 2013 Chevy Impala and 2016 Ford Explorer. These vehicles and equipment will be funded by the Equipment Replacement Fund, a fund departments transfer funds to each year for future vehicle purchases. These squads will not arrive until May 2025.
B. Approve The Purchase Of One Peterbilt Cab And Chassis Through Sourcewell From Jx Truck Center In The Amount Of $156,066.53 And Approving The Purchase And Installation Through Sourcewell To Fabricate And Install A Dump Box, Snow Plow And Anti-Icing Equipment On One Truck Chassis From Monroe In The Amount Of $117,628
Additional information and analysis is provided in the packet. This vehicle will be funded by the Equipment Replacement Fund, a fund departments transfer funds to each year for future vehicle purchases. This vehicle will not arrive until the end of 2025.
C. Approve A Master Contract Between The City Of Genoa And Engineering Enterprises, Incorporated For Professional Engineering Services
Staff and Engineering Enterprises, Incorporated (EEI) have drafted this Contract to serve as a master contract for future projects. This avoids each individual contract needing to be reviewed and instead quotes for work will be submitted, with the terms and conditions for work subject to the Master Contract. Council has approved similar contracts / agreements in the past. The Contract has been reviewed by the City Attorney.
D. Discuss A Draft Ordinance Related To The Keeping Of Chickens
