State Representative Jeff Keicher has been re-appointed as House Republican Conference Chairperson for the 104th General Assembly. The announcement was made by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie.

The role of Conference Chairperson involves presiding over Republican caucus meetings and facilitating discussions on legislative policy proposals and strategies for advancing them through the legislative process. Rep. Keicher first assumed this position in January 2023.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving a key role on the House Republican Leadership Team,” Rep. Keicher stated. He emphasized the importance of advancing policy changes to create jobs, strengthen schools, support agriculture, and provide property tax relief. He also highlighted the need to retain students in Illinois after high school graduation, whether they pursue higher education or enter the workforce.

“Representative Keicher is a valued voice in our caucus, and I am excited to reappoint him to my team to continue the fight for commonsense policies Illinois families deserve,” said Leader McCombie.

Keicher has represented Illinois’ 70th District since July 2018, which now includes parts of DeKalb, Kane, and McHenry Counties due to redistricting. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, he opened his own State Farm Insurance Agency in Sycamore in 2006.

In addition to his professional career, Keicher has extensive volunteer experience with various community organizations and industry groups. He has held executive board positions with several local organizations including the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce and Sycamore Public Library. He resides in Sycamore with his wife Karen and their three children.
