Jeff Keicher is leaving no stone unturned in his run for state representative in the 70th District.
Keicher recently took to Facebook to share his thoughts on the burning question of how Illinois came to find itself in the dire straits it is now trying to dig its way out from.
“Illinois needs to compete by moving to address over-regulation and taxes,” Keicher wrote. “We have the potential to be an amazing place once again.”
Keicher was also recently on hand in DeKalb to introduce U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) at a Rotary conference forum highlighting all that’s being done to combat human trafficking.
He also recently took part in the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Manufacturers Awards ceremony. The evening was dedicated to showcasing the impact and importance of emerging technologies on the future job opportunities in our area.
The keynote presentation focused on the Northern Illinois University College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, and the innovative work being done by students and faculty aimed at improving results in manufacturing with companies in the area.
Finally, Keicher also recently joined a contingent of area small-business owners and community leaders at the Salute to Scholars Luncheon to honor some of Sycamore's best and brightest.
Keicher, a Sycamore Republican, is seeking the seat being vacated by Rep. Robert Pritchard (R-Hinckley).
A small-business owner by trade, Keicher has made tax reform and out-migration central themes of his campaign platform.
The 70th District spans parts of covers DeKalb, Boone and Kane counties.
