City of Sycamore issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
Airport Road will be closed to through traffic starting on Wednesday August 15th. The closure is located north of the entrance for Sycamore Community Park. All park facilities on Airport Road will be accessible from the South by using one of the alternate routes shown on the DETOUR MAP. As soon as the roadway is accessible, it will be reopened.
Other scheduled work includes the following:
Paving on Sycamore, Borden, Woodgate, and Maertz.
Excavation work on Washington Place.
The Bethany Road Repair will be complete and traffic control will be removed.
The tentative schedule outlined above may change from time to time depending on weather conditions, availability of labor, materials and equipment, etc. Please contact the City at 815-895-4557 if you require special accommodations.
