Town of Cortland Board of Trustees met September 10.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Call to Order / Pledge of Allegiance / Roll Call


Mayor Stokes called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The pledge was recited and roll call was taken by Clerk Chery Aldis. Shown as present were Trustees Charmaine Fioretto, Brad Stone, Jim Walker, and Doug Corson. Shown as absent were Trustee Mike Siewierski and Rick Robins. Quorum was present. Also present were Attorney Buick and Engineer Brandy Williams.

Approval of Agenda

Trustee Corson moved and Trustee Walker seconded a motion to approve the agenda as presented.

Public Wishing To Speak

No one was present.

Unfinished Business for Discussion and Possible Action

New Business for Discussion and Possible Action

Accept bids for MFT concrete work and approve the low bid of Elliott & Wood Inc. In the amount of $45,836 and authorize the Mayor to execute the contract for the MFT project

Trustee Stone moved and Trustee Corson seconded a motion to accept the bids for MFT concrete work and approve the low bid of Elliott & Wood Inc. in the amount of $45,836 and authorize the mayor to execute the contract for the MFT project. Unanimous roll call vote carried the motion.

Approve an Ordinance Establishing a Moratorium on Solar Energy Farm Approvals

Trustee Corson moved and Trustee Walker seconded a motion to approve An Ordinance Establishing a Moratorium on Solar Energy Farm Approvals. Unanimous roll call vote carried the motion. Attorney Buick noted that his office had prepared this ordinance for the Town. It is an effort to allow staff to full explore the topic before bringing any proposals for Zoning Code Amendment.        Ord No 2018-18

Comments/Concerns

Trustee Corson reported that the Festival and Parade Committee is working toward the annual parade. The Committee is hoping to see trustees in the parade or volunteering

Mayor Stoke had nothing further to report.

Adjournment

Trustee Stone moved and Trustee Corson seconded a motion for adjournment. Unanimous voice vote carried the motion. The meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
