Algonquin Middle School issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
Hello Algonquin Middle School Families,
This coming Sunday, November 11th, is Veterans Day. AMS will recognize the day on Monday, November 12th in a variety of ways. The DCHC Drum Line will be here to kick off the day and our AMS Music Programs will play at various times. Students will also have special activities determined by their grade level teams. We are honored to have Master Sergeant Jeffrey Bruce here as a guest speaker for our students. Master Sergeant Bruce will meet with the 6th and 7th grade students first, followed by the 8th grade students.
It will be a busy day at AMS as we recognize Veterans Day. The day will be enjoyable for students and also help to reinforce to our students the importance of honoring all those who served and those currently serving our country.
