City Of Dekalb issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
The weather forecast for Sunday/Monday calls for heavy snow. This may force the Public Works Department to cease leaf collection operations for the year in order to transition to snow/ice operations.
Residents who wish to ensure leaves are removed from their parkway may want to consider bagging leaves this weekend for pickup by Lakeshore Recycling Systems during this final week of yard waste collection.
