KIRKLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT: Our Station Is A Local Warming Center

Local Government

By Press release submission | Feb 3, 2019

Kirkland Fire Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.

Our station will be designated the local warming shelter for those of you who need to seek shelter during this inclement weather. We currently have volunteers at the station for the remainder of the night & will also have volunteers throughout the day/night tomorrow and on Thursday. If you need to take shelter for any reason please come straight to the fire station OR call the station. We have people at the station who will take your information down and make you & your family feel welcomed. Please keep in mind to bring your own blankets and pillows as it will be more comfortable to you to have your own belongings to sleep with. Also, if you would like to bring any kind of food items, that would be a good idea as well, as some may be here for any length of time. Pets are welcome. For the comfort of other guests, please bring their crate or carrier. If you do not have one, please contact the fire station ahead of time.

The address to our station is: 3891 IL Route 72

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call the fire station directly at 815-522-4414
