City of Sandwich Finance Committee met March 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Finance Chairwoman Killey called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM

Roll call was taken:

Present: Aldermen Dell, Killey & Robinson; City Clerk Ii

Also Present: City Treasurer Webber & WSPY Reporter Jim Wyman

Alderman Redden & Ward 4 Candidate Fred Kreinbrink arrived at 7:45 PM

Review of semi-monthly bills: Bills reviewed to be submitted for payment approval at the Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, March 11, 2019. It was noted that Purchase Orders for Illinois Risk Management and Willow Office were missing from the invoice file to be reviewed. Clerk Ii will check into the matter.

New Business: City Clerk Ii had been requested to check the status on the tourism fund. After confirming with Lauterbach, she explained that as of March 1, 2019, the fund is overbudget for the fiscal year by approximately $4,200.00. However, there is roughly $3,965.00 cash remaining in the fund from previous years’ carryover.

Audience Comments: WSPY Reporter Jim Wyman questioned if the new tourism website is being paid from bed tax money. Alderman Robinson confirmed.

Adjournment

There being no further business to come before the Committee, motion made by Alderman Dell and seconded by Alderman Robinson to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting at 8:02 PM. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
