Get to know Make it a Double:

Sharing their love of Bluegrass, Contemporary Folk, Country, Americana, & Jazz, Mark Frystak (Vocals/Guitar) and Hayley Skreens (Vocals/Banjo) together form Make it a Double. Including both reinvented popular tunes & heartfelt originals, MIAD is an acoustic roots sound with stringed instrumentation and a classic single mic setup sure to please all audiences.

Former frontman of the progressive bluegrass band Close Enough, Mark Frystak provides a driving force on his Martin D-28 acoustic guitar while leading vocal duties. Frystak's warm vocal tone and precision of rhythm are steadfast in his playing. With influences ranging from Baroque Classical to traditional Bluegrass to Classic Rock, today he finds himself at home in the Fox Valley bluegrass/folk community.

After traveling full-time with nationally touring band Under the Willow from 2012-2016, Hayley Skreens has re-rooted herself in the Chicagoland area acoustic music scene. Her soulful voice shines whether she is playing banjo, guitar, mandolin or piano. Having shared bills with acts such as Jason Isbell, Jeff Austin Band, Fruition, and Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, she is a true music lover at heart.
