Clubs/Activities Pictures
All students in a club/activity: Clubs and Activities will take pictures throughout the school day on Tuesday, October 15th. You will need to see you sponsor to get a pass. The pass will have what time your club pictures are. Please report to the Field House and see Mrs. Cherry at your assigned picture time.
College Rep Visits
Attention Juniors and Seniors! If you have signed up to meet with the rep from U of I, please report to the library with a pass at this time. Also, due to PSAT testing, we will not have college visits on Wednesday. The Eastern University rep will be here on November 6th, please sign up through Haiku. Northern Iowa University will be rescheduled to a later date. Remember to check the Haiku page for updates.
Depression Awareness
Self care is very important to someone experiencing depression. Some people find regular exercise, getting a proper night of sleep, and eating well as helpful in managing feelings of depression.
Environmental Club

FAFSA Night
FAFSA Night is TONIGHT from 6:00 - 8:00 in Room 1205. At this work event you can come to HHS to start and complete your online FAFSA with the guidance of a FAFSA expert from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Remember parents will need their student's HHS internet sign on information. Private computers from home will not connect to the HHS Wi-Fi system. We look forward to see you.
Freshmen/Sophomore Class Councils
Attention all freshmen and sophomore class council members. Please join us for another joint meeting on Tuesday morning, October 15th. The meeting will start at 7:05am in room 3004.
Medical Careers Club
If you’re interested in the medical field for your career, don’t forget to attend the first meeting of the Medical Careers Club in Room 3203 after school today! The meeting will run from 3:05 to 4:00. All students are welcome to join!
PSAT Testing Information
On Wednesday, all 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will be involved in PSAT or NMSQT testing. Students arrive at their normal time and will be dismissed at 12:15 with busses departing at 12:45. Students need to bring their school ID or driver's license, #2 pencils with erasers, and a calculator. If you do not have a calculator, there is a limited number that can be checked out from the library. The following items are not allowed in testing rooms: Any electronic devices that can access the internet including Apple Watches, Chromebooks, cell phones, etc. Please leave all devices in your lockers. Also, no food or beverages are allowed in testing rooms. Seniors are not in attendance on Wednesday. Testing rooms are posted in the hallways and commons.
Robotics Club
Robotics club will not meet today due to a scheduling conflict. We will meet on Tuesday after school in Room 1012. Check out 3D printing, drones and more! Come join the battle bot build!

JV Boys Soccer
On Tuesday, JV boys soccer came up with a big win vs Cary Grove 4-0. Goals were scored by John Serra, Kyan Dulaca, Ryan King, and Paulo Arguedas. Great win boys!
Spiit Wear
Spirit Wear orders are in! Tables will be set up during all lunch hours TODAY. This will be your only opportunity to pick up your orders. Please stop by the tables during your lunch hour to pick up your order. Any questions, please see Ms. Mayer in the attendance office. Thank you!
Winter Sports Registration
Winter sports registration is now open! Go to il.8to18.com to register. Competitive cheer and dance begin 10/28; Girls basketball on 11/4; Boys basketball and wrestling on 11/11; and boys swim on 11/25. Online registration must be completed and a current physical must be on file in the Athletic office by the dates above. Payment is not due until the 1st contest of the sport.
WIU Free Application
Seniors! Western Illinois University is offering a special opportunity to complete an application for free! From October 20th through October 26th you may apply on line at wiu.edu/apply and receive a $30.00 application fee waiver automatically.
