Village of Hinckley Harvesting Our Future Committee met Oct. 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
1. Call meeting to order @ 6:11pm.
2. Persons Present: Ardith Trumpy, Jennifer Klambauer, Allison Pickert, Amie Carey, Rylie Roubal, Travis McGuire, Marci Viland, Karen Yaggie, Sally Thompson, Debbie Constant, Mike Constant, Darci Friedlund, Danni Marion, Joan Umano.

3. Monthly Budget Report- Crock Fundraiser final profit- $1,184.50.
4. New Business
a) Update on Downtown Group- Mural
Ardith reported that artist, Danielle Casali is ready to start moving in equipment into the work area at Strypes Plus More. HOF members will be the first volunteers so that they can be trained in the process of cutting and shaping mosaic tiles. Strypes Plus More will look into their Liability Insurance policy to see if Harvesting Our Future can be covered.
b) Update on Family Support Group- Digital Sign
Travis reported that he heard back from Squaw Grove Township concerning the Intergovernmental Agreement, they responded that they were not interested. Travis has yet to receive any formal communication from the Hinckley Village President, Nancy Nelson that they are not interested. The Hinckley Public Library has communicated interest and will formally vote at next week’s board meeting. Waubonsee Community College is thrilled to partner with HBR CUSD and Harvesting Our Future and intend to provide funds once approved at their December Board Meeting. Once the Intergovernmental Agreement is signed, then not-for-profits will be sent letters about the opportunity to place info on the digital signs.
c) Update on Small Business Group- Website
Amie reported that it has been hard to find time to meet with OC Creative this month due to busy schedules. They are still working on the individual pages and what will be placed on them.
5. Discussion- The Hinckley Festival Association NFP has agreed to add Harvesting Our Future as a sub-committee under the umbrella of the not-for-profit. Joan and Danni are preparing information to speak at the next Village of Hinckley Board Meeting in regards to the process of HOF breaking away from under the Village.
