Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dekalb?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Dekalb zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DeKalb Times.

The data shows that seven men and one woman were released in Dekalb. The median age of the parolees was 29. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2019 and the oldest was a 40-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Martin Quintana. He was convicted in 2014 when he was 22 years old. He is now 28.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the fourth quarter.
