Village of Kingston Village Board met March 2.

MEETING CALL:
The regular Village Board Meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Village of Kingston, was called to order at 7:00p.m. by President Jim Baenziger in the Village Board Room, at the Kingston Municipal Building, 101 E. Railroad St., Kingston, DeKalb County, Illinois.
ROLL CALL:
Upon roll call by President Baenziger, the following were in attendance:
Present: 5, President Baenziger, Trustees Frank Altmaier, John Lynch and Steve Van Buren.
Absent: 1, Trustee Fischer.
Also in attendance was Chief Taft, Village Engineer Kevin Berry, Village Attorney Kevin Buick and Public Works Director Justin Kamp.
Trustee Fischer arrived at 7:05p.m.
AGENDA ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS:
President Baenziger added a new Trustee appointee to New Business. Chief Taft added to New Business a new computer system. Trustee Lynch added to New Business the Genoa Sewer bill.
MINUTES:
Motion by Trustee Hengels, seconded by Trustee Lynch to approve the February 3, 2020 Minutes.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 4, Trustees Altmaier, Fischer, Hengels and Van Buren.
Nays: 0.
Absent: 0.
Abstain: 1, Trustee Lynch.
Motion carried.
CITIZENS COMMENTS:

VILLAGE OFFICERS REPORT:
Police Department
Nothing to report at this time.
Attorney
Nothing to report at this time.
Public Works
Mr. Kamp informed the Board that the Storm Sewer close to the Windhaven Well House is clogged again. This is the second time this has happened. Approximately 260 feet of 8 inch hard pipe will need to be installed at a cost of approximately $1200.00. Engineer Berry will meet with
Mr. Kamp to discuss the repair for this issue.
Mr. Kamp has not heard from the homeowners at 300
Willow and 300 Second in regards to the sewer repairs that need to be completed. Clerk Lauderdale did send out a reminder letter on March 2, 2020.
Bonnell Industries is willing to bring a Demo Truck for the
Trustees to take a look at for possible future purchase.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Property Maintenance
The Board reviewed the Property Maintenance Inspection Reports.
Lexipol Local Government Administration Policy Services
Nothing new to report.
Permit Fees
Trustee Altmaier reported back to the Board on Hampshire and Burlington's permit fees and procedures. Trustee Fischer would like to see Kirkland and Genoa's permit fees.
Dibble Propane
Nothing new to report.
IMRF Authorized Agent
The appointment of an IMRF Authorized Agent for the Village of Kingston. No action taken by the Board at this time.
NEW BUSINESS:
DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation
Motion by Trustee Lynch, seconded by Trustee Hengels to approve the expenditure of Village funds for a contribution of $275.00 to the DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 5, Trustees Altmaier, Fischer, Hengels, Lynch and
Van Buren.
Nays: 0.
Absent: 0.

DeKalb County Regional Planning Commission
Motion by Trustee Hengels, seconded by Trustee Van Buren to approve for payment the yearly dues to the DeKalb County Regional Planning Commission in the amount of $500.00.

Van Buren.
