Analysis: Sycamore pays $2.97 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sycamore Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.8 percent of the $953,061 the Sycamore Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.97 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sycamore contributed $713,187 to the fund, which saw a $184,763 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $239,874, or 25.2 percent, in 2018.
