Analysis: Sandwich pays $2.03 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sandwich Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67 percent of the $361,914 the Sandwich Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.03 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sandwich contributed $242,476 to the fund, which saw a $221,087 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $119,438, or 33 percent, in 2018.
