Analysis: DeKalb pays $4.57 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dekalb Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82 percent of the $3,645,878 the Dekalb Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.57 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DeKalb Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, DeKalb contributed $2,989,632 to the fund, which saw a $581,580 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $653,454, or 17.9 percent, in 2018. Another $2,792 came from other unspecified sources.
