Genoa-Kingston Fire Protection District responded to 110 calls in 2018 - 37.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Genoa-Kingston included 47 fires - 30 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 13 other fires.

In all, the department saw $1,150,000 in fire loss - or about $24,468 per fire.

The department also received 63 false calls.

Two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.

The Genoa-Kingston Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $1,111,873 in 2018.
