The Committee of the Whole of the DeKalb County Board virtually met via Zoom on Wednesday,December 9, 2020. Chairman John Frieders called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Those Members virtually present via Zoom and/or by phone were Mr. Tim Bagby, Mr. Scott Campbell, Ms. Mary Cozad, Ms. Rukisha Crawford, Mrs. Karen Cribben, Mr. Bill Cummings, Mr. Patrick Deutsch, Mrs. Laurie Emmer, Mr. Steve Faivre, Ms. Kiara Jones, Ms. Kathy Lampkins, Ms. Dianne Leifheit, Mr. JimLuebke, Ms. Terri Mann-Lamb, Mr. Neill Mohammad, Mr. Craig Roman, Ms. Linda Slabon, Mr.Larry West, Vice-Chair Suzanne Willis, and Chairman John Frieders. Those absent were Mr. TimHughes, Ms. Maureen Little, Mr. Jerry Osland, and Mr. Roy Plote. A quorum was established with twenty Members presented and four absent.
Others present included Gary Hanson, Derek Hiland, Pete Stefan, Christine Johnson, NathanSchwartz, Deanna Cada, Terry Hannan, Michael Venditti, Sheila Santos, and Greg Millburg.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Mr. Roman moved to approve the agenda as presented. Ms. Mann-Lamb seconded the motion.Those voting yea were Mr. Bagby, Mr. Campbell, Ms. Cozad, Ms. Crawford, Mrs. Cribben, Mr. Cummings, Mr. Deutsch, Mrs. Emmer, Mr. Faivre, Ms. Jones, Mrs. Lampkins, Mr. Luebke, Ms.Mann-Lamb, Mr. Mohammad, Mr. Roman, Ms. Slabon, Mr. West, Ms. Willis, and Chairman Frieders. All Members present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

REVIEW OF COUNTY BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES
County Administrator Gary Hanson and Executive Assistant Tasha Sims provided the Board Members with a PowerPoint and Live Virtual Presentation of what the County Board Member’s responsibilities and expectations are during their two-year terms. The PowerPoint presentation is attached.
COMMITTEE BREAK-OUT SESSIONS TO REVIEW STANDING COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Board Members were sent into Zoom Break-out Rooms where they each met with their assignedCommittees as illustrated in the attached schedule. business was conducted by any Committee during the Committee Orientation Night.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Frieders moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:59 p.m. Mr. Bagby seconded the motion. Those Members voting yea were Mr. Bagby, Mr. Campbell, Ms. Cozad, Ms. Crawford, Mrs.Cribben, Mr. Cummings, Mr. Deutsch, Mrs. Emmer, Mr. Faivre, Ms. Jones, Mrs. Lampkins, Mr. Luebke, Ms. Mann-Lamb, Mr. Mohammad, Mr. Roman, Ms. Slabon, Mr. West, Ms. Willis, and Chairman Frieders. All Members present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
