Mayor’s Report: Todd Latham

a. Ordinance 2021-12 entitled “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 98, Zoning, Article II, Zoning Districts and Regulations, Section 98-38, B-1 Local Business District, of the City of Sandwich Municipal Code” presented for adoption. Amendment is adding “solar power generation” as a special use to the zoning district.

b. Ordinance 2021-13 entitled “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 98, Zoning, Article V, Supplemental Regulations, Section 98, of the City of Sandwich Municipal Code” presented for first reading.

c. Resolution 21-10 entitled “A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc.” presented for approval.

d. Motion to authorize Mayor to execute “Settlement Agreement in Compromise of Pending Litigation”.

e. Public Safety Complex - 1251 E. 6th Street

1. Motion to authorize the Mayor to sign Exhibit A as the Guaranteed Maximum Price Amendment to previously executed AIA Document A133-2009 which is a Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner (City of Sandwich) and Construction Manager as Constructor (Harbour Contractors, Inc.) dated September 29, 2014. Said Exhibit A includes the Amendment, the GMP Budget, and GMP Qualifications. The Guaranteed Maximum Price is $3,078,882.00.

2. Motion to authorize the Mayor to sign the Assignment Agreement between the City of Sandwich and Harbour Contractors, Inc.

a. 2021 Brush Pickup Program: Monday, August 23rd – Ward 4

b. Zoning Board of Appeals regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 has been canceled.

c. 2021/2022 Rock Salat Contract: CMS will not be executing any renewal contracts this year. The City’s proposed 600 tone allotment will be bid. The 2020/2021 bid amount was $41.26 per ton.
