Home prices increased in DeKalb during the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in DeKalb rose by $5,100 while total sales decreased by 56.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 133 homes sold, with a median sale price of $165,000 - a 3.2% increase over the $159,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 303 homes sold in DeKalb in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in DeKalb for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,868, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
