Report: Belvidere School District spent $13,110 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 was up 22.9 percent from five years ago, according to the DeKalb Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Boone County school district spent $10,669 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,110 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 8,278 to 7,681 students over the same period.

Belvidere's spending in 2019-20 was 9.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
