DeKalb County Sheriff's Merit Commission met Feb. 1.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

The Merit Commission met in the Sheriff’s Situation Room at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

I. Call to Order

Commissioner Bryan Perry called the meeting to order Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

II. Roll Call

Commissioners present at the meeting were: Commissioners Bryan Perry and Anita Turner. Also present was Communications Lieutenant Van Bomar.

III. Approval of Agenda

Bryan Perry called for the approval of the agenda. Anita Turner moved and Bryan Perry seconded. No opposition. Motion passed.

IV. Approval of Minutes

Minutes from the previous meeting held 12/18/2021 were reviewed by Commissioners. Commissioner Bryan Perry called for approval of those minutes. Motion for approval was made by Anita Turner and seconded by Bryan Perry. No opposition. Motion passed.

V. Public Comment

Though it was an open public meeting, no audience was present.

VIII. New Business – None

IX. Executive Session – Assessment Center

Commissioner Bryan Perry asked for a motion to break into executive session to conduct Telecommunication Interviews. Anita Turner made the motion and Bryan Perry seconded. The Commission adjourned into executive session.

X. Adjournment

The Commission reentered regular session and with no further business to discuss Commissioner Bryan Perry called for a motion to adjourn. Anita Turner made the motion which was seconded by Bryan Perry. There was no opposition, the meeting was adjourned.
