Barb Food Mart Information

Registration for the next school year is now open and can be completed through your Skyward Family Access account.  Once in Family Access, please be sure to choose “Returning Student Registration for the 2022-23 School Year”.  All students must complete online registration each year in order to attend DeKalb schools.  Any high school students who are not registered will not receive their schedules until online registration is completed.  For assistance with your login and password, please follow the instructions for Parent/Guardians found on the Skyward Family Access login page or contact the main office at DHS.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to register your student!

Attention Graduating Seniors!!  If you are planning to attend Kishwaukee College in the Fall, you are invited to attend the Kishwaukee College One-Stop on April 25, 2022. We will be transporting up to 35 students to Kish. Students will complete placement testing, receive an orientation, meet with an academic advisor, and register for classes that day.This is a first come first serve program.  To get more information and a permission slip please check your school email or stop by Student Services for a copy. Permission forms are due by April 11th! 

Attention Seniors & Juniors!!  DHS Prom 2022 is quickly approaching. Prom will be Saturday, May 7th at NIU’s Duke Ellington Ballroom from 6:30p to 11:00p. Only seniors and juniors may purchase tickets for $50 each starting Monday, April 4th to Tuesday, April 19th in W111 before school or E109 after school. Sophomores may only attend with a junior or senior. Freshmen will not be admitted. Purchase your ticket by April 8th to be entered into a drawing for one of ten free prom tickets (your money will be reimbursed to you if you win). Due to the large number of students and chaperones at Prom as well as COVID precautions, DHS cannot accommodate spectators at Prom.  Please take photos and wish students a fun evening prior to the event. 

Attention Barbs:  Wake up DHS...and come see your peers compete in the Battle of the Barbs: On the Big Screen next Friday, April 8th at 6pm in the DHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and will go on sale during lunches next week, Wednesday through Friday, and will be available at the door the night of the show. Please come out and support everyone that has worked so hard to make our first spring competition since 2019 happen! They can't wait to show off their talents and support their chosen charity!

Attention Barbs:  Do you need to serve a lunch detention and don’t know what room it is in.  Check the monitors throughout school for the room number. 

Attention GSA:  Your next meeting is Tuesday, April 5th from 3-4p in Room N204.

Attention Barbs:  Support the DHS Marching Barbs by eating at Wendy's in Dekalb on Tuesday, April 12th.  Wendy's will donate 30% of the sales to the Marching Barbs when you present a printed or electronic copy of the flier when the order is placed.  The fundraiser applies to dine-in, carry-out (taken inside the dining room at the counter), and pick-up window orders.  The fundraiser runs all day (6:30 am -  midnight).  Thank you for supporting the DHS Marching Barbs!
