City of Sycamore Architectural Review Committee met Feb. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Acting Chairperson Jeff Keppler called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m. In attendance were Ron Cerutti, Doug Stice and Kim Kramer. David Stouffer and John Hulseberg were absent. City Manager Michael Hall and Director of Community Development John Sauter was also in attendance.

Approval of the Minutes 

Approval of Minutes of the January 10, 2022 Meeting

Motion 

Kim Kramer moved to approve the January 10, 2022 minutes and Ron Cerutti seconded the motion. Voice Vote 

Acting Chairperson Jeff Keppler called for a voice vote. All members present voted aye. Motion carried 4-0. 

Audience to Visitors – None 

Action Items 

A. To review a Sign Permit

1. 307 W. State St – Sub 70 Golf

Director of Community Development John Sauter said the sign, which is a decal that would be placed on the inside, is code compliant and is limited to one.

Jeff Keppler asked if there is or will be any other signage.

Director John Sauter said it doesn’t sound like it but if so, the owner would have to come before the committee to review as it’s allowed to do a window sign and sign above. He explained that small decals like pizza sandwiches, etc. doesn’t need to come to the committee, but do when it is a business-identification sign.

Jeff Keppler said he had no issues with it and Kim Kramer concurred.

Motion 

Doug Stice made a motion to approve the sign and Kim Kramer seconded the motion.

Voice Vote 

Acting Chairperson Jeff Keppler called for a voice vote. All members present voted aye. Motion carried 4-0.

Kim Kramer made a motion to adjourn and Ron Cerutti seconded the motion.

Voice Vote 

Acting Chairperson Jeff Keppler called for a voice vote. All members present voted aye. Motion carried 4-0. The meeting was adjourned at 2:08 p.m.
