A Public Hearing will be held before the City Council at its regular meeting on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Yusunas Meeting Room at the DeKalb Public Library, 309 Oak St., DeKalb, IL, to consider the revocation of the special use permit approved by Ordinance 2012-070 (the Ordinance) for a vehicle salvage yard (vehicle recycling operation) for the property located at 1008 Oak Street (the Property), which has a Parcel Identification Number (PIN) of 08-23-281-011 and is zoned “HI” Heavy Industrial. The hearing will consider whether the special use has become unsuitable and incompatible in its location as a result of violating the provisions of Section 1 of the Ordinance and Section 5.12.03 of the City’s Unified Development Ordinance.
All interested persons are invited to appear and be heard at the time and place listed above. Interested persons are also encouraged to submit written comments on the proposal to the City of DeKalb, Executive Assistant, 164 E.
