Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) is urging his constituents in the DeKalb County area to help the Elks Lodge complete a memorial for military veterans.

“I am encouraging residents throughout the DeKalb County region to help our friends at the DeKalb Elks Lodge #765 complete the planned Military Veterans Memorial which you can do by purchasing an inscribed brick to honor a family member or loved one from your life who served in the military," Keicher posted on Facebook. “There is still time to order inscribed bricks to honor military veterans. This is an opportunity for you to include a permanent public remembrance of your loved ones who have served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (deceased, living, or active duty)."

On June 14, Keicher spent Flag Day touring Flag Source in Batavia.

“It was an honor to tour Flag Source in Batavia today. Made in the USA flags and a true honor to see their work!” Keicher posted.

Keicher recently hosted traveling office hours in Cortland that gave community members the opportunity to voice legislative ideas.

“Please feel welcome to stop by to ask any questions or share your feedback on state issues or ideas for legislation,” he posted on Facebook.

Keicher wrote on his website that he and Sen. Dave Syverson (R-Rockford) got $125,000 transportation safety grant for the Village of Sugar Grove.

He has also spoken about his opposition to the SAFE-T Act.
