A) APPROVE THE APPOINTMENT OF ALDERMAN CHUCK CRAVATTA, TED ARETOS, AND MELISSA DAVIDSON TO THE CITY OF GENOA FINANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
B) APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A KABOTA MOWER FROM BOBCAT OF ROCKFORD, NOT TO EXCEED $11,956.
The Department of Public Works needs is requesting to purchase a Kabota mower from Bobcat of Rockford to replace the 2017 Toro that has over 1200 hours on it and is in need of replacement. The Public Works Department will be able to trade in the 2017 Toro, reducing the cost from $16,956. The Public Works Department received two other quotes. One is from John Deere which is less expensive at $14,900, however, Public Works has found that replacement parts are more expensive for John Deere mowers and breakdowns seem to be more often compared to Kabota mowers. The second quote was received for a Toro mower which amounted to $18,817.21.
