During the month of October, the Police Department squads will be sporting pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed in women and out of all cases, 1 in 100 are found in men. Officers purchased pink badges to stimulate conversation with the community and to encourage public awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against Breast Cancer.
