a. Ordinance FP-O2022-01: Adoption of the Property Tax Levy for FY2023. The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners hereby approve to levy upon all the taxable property within DeKalb County, as assessed, for the calendar year beginning January 1, 2022, and ending December 31, 2022, and to be collected for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2023, in the total amount of $1,836,000. Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Cozad, seconded by Mr. Deutsch and approved unanimously.
b. Ordinance FP-O2022-02: Annual Appropriation for FY2023. The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners hereby approve that the monies received by the County Treasurer from taxes and other revenues, for the use of the Forest Preserve District during the Fiscal Year starting January 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2023, are hereby appropriated as set forth in the attached “Exhibit A” for the purposes necessary for DeKalb County to carry out its responsibilities. Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Little, seconded by Ms. Mann-Lamb and approved unanimously.
c. Resolution FP-R2022-04: A Resolution Approving the Purchase of Property in Somonauk, Illinois. The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners hereby approve the acquisition of approximately 60.86 acres, on S. County Line Road, Somonauk, Illinois (P.I.N.: 18-33-400-004 and 18-34-351-001) described on Exhibit A, attached hereto at a price of $10,000.00 per acre totaling $610,00.00. Committee Action: Moved by Ms. Cozad, seconded by Ms. Mann Lamb and approved unanimously.
d. Claims to be Paid in November 2022: Move to approve the payment of claims for this month, and the off-cycle claims paid during the previous month, including all claims for travel, meals, and lodging, in the amount of $143,687.79.
