City of Sandwich City Council met March 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:'

Mayor Latham called the Special Meeting to order at 8:00 AM followed by the Pledge of Allegiance Roll call was taken:

Present: Mayor Latham, City Clerk Ii, Aldermen Erickson, Fritsch, Johnson, Killey, Kreinbrink,, Littlebrant & Whitecotton

Also present: City Administrator Penman, Chief Bianchi, EMA Director Ciciora, Street Superintendent Grube, Water Superintendent Voelkel & Sewer Plant Superintendent Eade

Absent: Alderman Robinson & City Treasurer Schwemlein Public Comment: None

New Business:

a. Approval of the 2023-2024 Street Pavement Management Plan for Griswold Springs Road, Lafayette Street, and Main Street from Route 34 to Railroad Street.

So moved by Alderman Littlebrant. Motion was seconded by Alderwoman Erickson. Aye: Aldermen Erickson, Fritsch, Johnson, Killey, Kreinbrink, Littlebrant & Whitecotton Nay: 0 Motion carried unanimously 7:0

b. Authorize Chief Bianchi / Sandwich Police Department to place an order not to exceed $145,000 for police cars camera equipment and $90,000 for body cameras. Motion was amended to correct the cost of body cameras to $109,000.

Motion was made by Alderwoman Johnson authorizing Chief Bianchi to place an order not to exceed $145,000 for police cars camera equipment, and amending the cost for body cameras to $109,000.00. Alderman Whitecotton seconded. Aye: Aldermen Erickson, Fritsch, Johnson, Killey, Kreinbrink, Littlebrant & Whitecotton Nay:0 Motion carried 7:0

Announcement: Council Retreat to immediately follow the Special Meeting of March 11, 2023.

Adjournment: Motion made by Alderwoman Erickson and seconded by Alderman Whitecotton to adjourn the Special Meeting at 8:10 PM. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
