A. Motion To Approve The Consent Agenda That Includes The Following Items:

1. Approval Of The Minutes From The December 6, 2023 City Council Meeting

2. Approval Of The Accounts Payables Dated December 15, 2023

3. Waive The Bid Process And Approve Sanitary Sewer Lining On South Hadsall And East Hill Streets By Insituform, Not To Exceed $51,079.34 Please see the Purchase Requisition in the packet. Note that these prices reflect the per unit price of the winning bidder (Insituform) in the sewer lining bid awarded at the December 6th meeting.

4. Approve An Ordinance Directing The Potential Sale Of Public Real Estate (Ordinance 2023-27)

Earlier this year, the City acquired right-of-way from IDOT which a portion of the property was ultimately sold to Ampler Development. This agenda item authorizes the City to collect bids for the remaining property to be sold in accordance with State Law.

5. Approve The Purchase Of 80 Water Meters And Radios From Winwater, Not To Exceed $21, 200

6. Approve The Purchase And Installation Of Carpet At City Hall, Not To Exceed $15,653

As part of the ongoing maintenance at City Hall, the replacement of 28 year old purple carpet in some areas of as well as needed wall repairs were budgeted for this Fiscal Year. Staff has worked with a local contractor to obtain a quote for wall repairs and painting, however, the painter preferred new carpet be installed first. Staff met with and obtained pricing from multiple carpet installers and found CarpetLand to be the most competitive for the quality and quantity of carpet needed. Samples of paint colors, baseboards, and carpet will be available at the meeting.
