DeKalb County Board of Review met Dec. 13.

Today’s Board Hearings have been scheduled as a mixture of Waives and In-Person Attendance. Members of the public may attend In-Person.
Those in attendance: Dan Cribben, Chairman; John Linderoth and Brian Rosenow, Members; Bridget Nodurft, CCAO/Clerk; Michelle Christensen, Chief Deputy; Kevin Buick and Scott Becker, appellant attorneys; Dale & Linda Sulek, Brandon Shelton, AJ Patel, and Jack Christensen, appellants; Melody Monroe and Pauline Ruchti, Township Assessors; and Lee Overton, Appraiser.
I. Call to Order: Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.
II. Roll Call: Chairman asked the record show all present.
III. Review Agenda for Approval / Amendment: John moved to approve agenda as written. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.
IV. Review Prior Meeting Minutes for Approval: John moved to approved the December 12, 2023 minutes as written. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.
V. Public Comments: None
VI. 2023 Board of Review MIXED Hearings: Due to running ahead of schedule, Brian moved to take a short recess. Dan seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. Recess began at 11:10 am. John moved to resume hearings. Brian seconded motion. Hearings resumed at 11:32 am. Please see attached hearing scheudle.
VII. Work Load
a) Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Person Exemptions (HEPD): After Board review John moved to approve 3-New and 1-Renewal HEPD applications. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved. See attached.
b) Review to Approve / Deny Disabled Veteran Exemptions (SHEVD): After Board review John moved to approve 10-New and 3-Renewal SHEVD applications. See attached.
c) Review to Approve / Deny Senior Exemptions (HE): After Board review John moved to approved 14-New HE applications. Brian seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.
d) Review to Approve / Deny Assessor Changes: After Board review John moved to approve 26 Assessor Changes #0166-0191. Brian seconds motion. All in favor, so moved.
e) Review to Approve / Deny Mapping Changes: After Board review, Brian moved to approve 2 Mapping Changes #0045-0046. John seconded motion. All in favor, so moved.
f) Review Non-Homestead Exemptions for Recommendation to IDOR: None g) Review, Prepare and Make a Recommendation for PTAB Appeals: None VIII. Other Business: None
