DeKalb County Ad-Hoc Nominating Committee will meet Feb. 13.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Roll Call

2. Approval of Agenda

3. Approval of Minutes

a. February 8th, 2024 Ad Hoc Nominating Committee Meeting

4. Public Comments

Any member of the public may address the Committee for up to 3 minutes on any topic of their choosing. There will be no yielding of time to other members of the public and agenda time for public comments is limited to 30 minutes in total.

5. Nomination of Members of the Public to Serve on the DCRNC Oversight Board.

The County Board has asked that the Ad Hoc Nominating Committee review applications submitted by members of the public who wish to be appointed to Oversight Board and forward a recommendation for which individuals are best suited for appointment to the Oversight Board.

The Bylaws of the DCRNC Oversight Board state the following regarding qualification for appointment to the Board:

The Oversight Board shall consist of nine (9) persons. Members shall be selected from DeKalb County residents who possess the ability to participate effectively in the discharge of the Oversight Board’s responsibilities. Specific expertise in the health care field, finance/accounting field, or legal field (generally, and in long-term care, specifically), are desirable, but not an exclusive, criterion for qualification as a Member.

When the Ad Hoc Nominating Committee is prepared to make a recommendation, it will be forwarded to the Executive Committee for further consideration at their next subsequent meeting.

a. Appointment of Specific Volunteers of a Public Body per 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

b. Selection of a Person to Fill a Public Office per 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(3)
